Baltic Paganism
Baltic Paganism is hard to reconstruct. Like all pagan religions, Baltic paganism(s) can attract whtie supremacists. Stay vigilant.
Lithuanian Gods
Žemyna
Žemyna is the goddess of the earth and life. She is a creator, growing both us humans and plants. Rites to her were performed outdoors, and she does not seem to have had shrines. She is the goddess of everybody; historically, she was popular with peasants. Ancient Lithuanians had sacred groves dedicated to her.
Offerings
Offerings to Žemyna should be left on or buried in soil, placed before a stone, or thrown into bodies of water. Libations of beer were poured into the ground for her. Domestically, offerings were made onto a flat stone at the threshold where she dwells. She was prayed to during major life events such as deaths, births, and marriages.
