Aset, also known as Isis, is a complex and much beloved goddess. Her roles are difficult to list. She is famously the mourning sister and wife of Osiris, and mother of Horus and the pharaoh. She is also a cosmic goddess, sometimes associated with the star Sirius, and a guardian of the dead.
