UPG

UPG, short for Unverified Personal Gnosis, is a term used to describe associations or offerings for a deity that are not historically attested. When multiple people share a UPG, it becomes an SPG (Shared Personal Gnosis). While it is healthy and good to develop such an intimate, personal relationship with gods, it is not okay to put UPG on resources intended to be informational. It prevents people from forming associations of their own (and sometimes people have conflicting ones). It kind of starts making a bit of an echo chamber, in a way. I've seen misinformation spread this way as well.
